Most homes aren't built for the people who live with disability. About us

Care that respects your dignity, equality and respect. the usual simply wasn't good enough.

Good support isn't a checklist — it's a relationship. We build ours slowly, carefully, and for the long haul.

National Community Support Group was founded by families and clinicians who'd watched too many participants fall through the gaps. We set out to build a provider that treats every person as an individual — with a coordinator who knows them, a team that stays, and a plan that flexes as life does.

Today we support participants in metropolitan and regional Australia, as an initiative of the UMA group of health and community services. Our work is independent, accredited, and rigorously accountable — but it starts and ends with people.

Serving you with the highest degree of dignity, equality & respect.

Formed in 2017 by a passionate group of parents of special-needs children, in conjunction with an experienced and professional team with backgrounds in social work, charity and disability services.

Our purpose

To make sure no participant or family in Australia has to navigate disability supports alone.

Mission

Provide tailor-made support solutions for every individual client that will best assist them to live their lives to the fullest and regain their independence whilst maintaining quality of life.

Vision

Provide a broad range of social services through valuing dignity, strengthening families and connecting communities across Sydney and NSW.

Our values
01

Dignity

Every participant is met with respect for who they are, and we never reduce care to a checklist.

02

Equality

Tailor-made supports for every individual — what works for one person is shaped to fit them, not borrowed from a template.

03

Respect

Families know who is showing up. Coordinators and workers stay so trust can build.

04

Community

Strengthening families and connecting communities — the original reason this organisation was founded.

Getting started is simple.

From first call to ongoing support, here's what partnering with NCSG looks like.

Get in touch

Call or message us. A dedicated coordinator listens first, then explains your options — no obligations.

Meet & plan

We meet in your home or online, map out your goals and build a support plan that fits your NDIS funding.

Match your team

We hand-pick support workers aligned with your values, needs and interests — you always have the final say.

Support begins

Services start within days. Your coordinator checks in often and adjusts your plan as life changes.

Meet our team.

Clinicians, coordinators and community leaders — many with lived experience of disability — guiding every participant's journey.

Answers, plainly.

Can't find what you're looking for? Our team answers the phone seven days a week.

The NDIS is an Australia-wide scheme that supports people with a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to take part in everyday activities. It gives participants enhanced choice and control over how their support is delivered, with lifetime certainty that they will receive the assistance they need.
Eligible participants receive annual funding to purchase reasonable and necessary supports that help them pursue their goals, achieve greater independence, and engage in community life. Funding can cover education, equipment, health and wellbeing, employment and social participation.
The NDIS is the program itself. The NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) is the independent agency responsible for operating it.
Plans differ because each participant's circumstances are unique. Each plan is built around the participant's individual support needs, goals, daily activities and any other mainstream supports they receive.
People living with a psychosocial disability — where a mental health condition is permanent and severe enough to affect their ability to engage with their community — may qualify. The NDIS estimates up to 15%% of participants have psychosocial disabilities.
Most of our supports are delivered through NDIS plans, but we also work with self-funded and privately paying clients. If you're unsure about your eligibility, we'll help you understand your options and connect you with the right pathway.
